We are excited to announce that Tarpon Energy Services Ltd. has achieved the rank of # 2 on The Fast 50: Alberta’s Fastest Growing Companies over $20 million list for 2008. This is an outstanding accomplishment as over 2,100 Growth Questionnaires were distributed throughout Alberta. The complete 2008 Fast 50 list will be featured as the cover story in the January issue of Alberta Venture Magazine which will be available on January 2nd, 2008.
 
Alberta Venture magazine produces the Fast 50 List on an annual basis -- Alberta’s Fast Growth Champions in partnership with KPMG and with the sponsorship of ATB Financial, Alberta Research Council, Parlee McLaws LLP, Robert Half International and TEC. The intent of the award is to recognize growth-oriented businesses in Alberta and showcase the achievements of these remarkable organizations.
 
Companies are ranked by assessing points for 10 different categories, including growth in gross sales, assets, profitability and employees, as well as product development, incentive programs, investment in research and development, capital expenditures, marketing and export activity. Growth is reviewed both year over year and for the entire three-year period.
