Tarpon has begun the 2009 fiscal year with two new Vice Presidents: Iain Munro, VP Structures and Greg Handford, VP Process Systems. Iain Munro joined the Tarpon team on March 31 and brings 30 years of industry experience combined with a broad educational background. “Tarpon has grown quickly over the past few years and has greatly expanded its product and service offering,” he says. “I am excited to work for Structures. We have good quality products and the capacity to expand Tarpon’s integrated offering.” As the new VP, Munro is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Structures division. “The main key to managing and promoting growth is to set stretched, but realistic goals and then measure where you are against those goals,” he says. Developing both short and long-term goals for the division, Munro aims to expand Structures’ product offering both locally and internationally. “Quality and safety are integral aspects of our business,” he says. Munro holds a MBA from Athabasca University, a Masters Degree in Quality & Reliability and a Diploma in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Joining Tarpon on April 7, Greg Handford has assumed the role of VP Process Systems. With over 30 years experience in the energy sector, Handford is prepared to assume the responsibility of managing Process Systems and is eager to implement strategies for the sustainable growth of the division. As Process Systems’ business has been largely dependant on the Canadian natural gas market, Handford sees opportunities to expand their products and services into the oil equipment and international market as well. Handford recently completed his MBA and Masters of Management from Lansbridge University.
