Dedication to sustained growth, strong leadership and investment in its people are some of the many reasons why Tarpon Energy Services Ltd. was awarded Platinum Club member status with Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the second year in a row. Platinum Club membership is achieved by companies who have maintained their Best Managed designation for seven consecutive years or more. Tarpon was first recognized as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies in 2006.
“We are delighted to have maintained our Best Managed designation for eight consecutive years,” said John Henry, president and CEO, Tarpon Energy Services Ltd. “This prestigious award for outstanding business achievement is a result of the passion, skill and dedication of the Tarpon team.”
Established in 1993, the Canada’s Best Managed Companies is a national awards program, recognizing Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways. Applications are reviewed by an independent judging panel that evaluates how companies address various business challenges, including new technologies, globalization, brand management, leadership, leveraging and developing core competencies, designing information systems, and hiring the right talent to facilitate growth.
“Companies that earn Platinum Club status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program are true leaders in the Canadian marketplace,” said Jon Hountalas, executive vice-president, business banking, CIBC. “They exemplify strong vision and leadership, a sustained commitment to growth and innovation, and ongoing dedication to their corporate values.”
2013 winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award, along with the Gold Standard winners, Requalified and Platinum Club members will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 1, 2014. On the same date, the symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today’s business leaders.
